A new report from the SANS Institute, based on a survey of application security professionals, found some interesting results regarding the way enterprises are approaching API security. Of note, fewer than 50% of respondents have API security testing tools in place. Even fewer have deployed API discovery tools. Although the survey results suggest enterprises recognize the security risks of widespread API usage, there is no clear consensus on where to prioritize investments.
